Construction Site Toilets That Fit the Work Plan
A construction restroom is a basic site amenity, but its placement influences daily convenience and housekeeping. Plan it around the active phase, crew movement, material storage, and a route that remains usable after the site changes.

Plan around the phase, not just the parcel
An early location may stop working when excavation, concrete, framing, or exterior work begins. Identify a position that is outside active equipment paths and does not depend on a temporary gate that will soon move. Revisit the layout at major milestones, especially when the site shifts from rough work to finish work.
Protect access and stability
A reasonably level, firm surface helps users approach the unit safely and helps prevent avoidable movement or mud-related problems. Keep the walking route distinct from forklift, truck, and delivery paths. Do not place the restroom where workers must step over cords, materials, trenches, or debris to reach it.
Make it workable for the whole crew
Consider shift changes, subcontractors, supervisors, visitors, and workers who may have mobility needs. A handwashing station supports better hygiene around the site, while clear communication about the restroom location prevents unnecessary traffic through restricted areas.
Start with the basics
Make the site easier to use.
Bring the location, dates, use, attendance or crew size, access, surface, and accessibility needs to the next planning conversation.
